Screen Printed Glass
Tempered Silkscreen printed glass is made by using inorganic color ink to print graphics through a special screen onto glass. Melt colorant into glass surface in a tempering furnace and non-fading, multicolor, graphic silkscreen glass is manufactured.

Laminated glass
Laminated Glass is manufactured by bonding two or more liters of glass on either side of a resilient interlayer PVB or polyvinyl butyral through heat and pressure. This laminated "sandwich" cannot be distinguished from monolithic glass when glazed. Laminated Glass provides visual clarity while offering improved sound control, protection from ultraviolet light as well as the added benefits of safety and security. By incorporating an interlayer of 0.30" or greater, Laminated Glass meets or exceeds the consumer product safety commission standard for architectural glazing materials. Unlike Annealed or Tempered Glass, Laminated Glass tends to remain in the frame if broken. The PVB interlayer keeps dangerous glass fragments and splinters intact. Laminated Glass provides an element of security that cannot be achieved by other glass products. Whether protecting merchandise in a store display, guarding works of art in museums or protecting homes, Laminated Glass is a deterrent to break-ins and theft. Laminated Glass resists held objects/weapons including hammers, bats, bricks, crowbars, etc. Laminated Glass can also be produced for bullet-resistant and blast-resistant applications. Laminated Glass also provides a barrier to noise in addition to intruders, without sacrificing visibility, clarity or the overall beauty of your design. In areas such as airports, hotels, offices, control rooms and homes, Laminated Glass lets you enjoy the world without listening to it. A common design for noise reduction is Laminated Glass used in an insulated unit. The PVB interlayer of each lite works with the unit's air space to maximize sound control.
Tempered glass
For applications requiring added strength, Tempered Glass is used. Tempered Glass is made by a special heat treatment and quenching process that increases its strength up to four or five times that of annealed glass. If subjected to stresses beyond its capacity, Tempered Glass simply disintegrates into innumerable small pieces, significantly reducing the risk of serious injury. Tempered Glass is recommended for commercial and residential applications where human contact is anticipated and where safety glazing is required by law, wind load, or local or national building codes. All Tempered Glass supplied by AJJ Glass Ltd can meet ANSI and CPSI safety glazing standards in US and DIN EN1205 tempering standards in Europe. Tempered Glass is available in all color tints and thicknesses ranging from 1/8" to 3/4".

HEAVY GLASS SHOWER DOORS use 3/8" and 1/2" glass (mainly.) These include Clear, Starphire (Low Iron), Gray, Bronze, and a few Rolled Patterns such as Rain, Glue Chip and Barok. The rolled patterns look somewhat like Slumped Glass but the pattern repeats.

1/4" thick tempered glass can be used for shower doors. We have hinges that are just like the ones for 3/8" and 1/2" but these are smaller. There are far more choices of glass in 1/4" thickness. For instance you can use half silvered mirror so that the shower is a mirror when the light is off. You can use greylite 14, which is almost black. They have eliminated a lot of colors but green is still available and blue reflective and great many patterns. These will all probably cost more than a heavy glass shower.

Sandblasted tempered glass shower doors
Satin Glass is acid etched and looks like sandblasted but comes in crates of 3/8" and 1/2" thicknesses for shower doors. It also comes in 1/4" and maybe 1/8" for cabinets, windows, doors, and whatever. Some people say Satin Glass doesn't show fingerprints as much as sandblasted. But we always have our sandblasted glass coated with Clear Shield or some other polymer..
SandBlasted can be done in geometric or artistic designs. Price is very competitive from AJJ Glass Ltd. Sandblasting is much cheaper.

Two layers of glass with exotic vinyl interlayer. Laminated glass is not suitable for Shower Doors. If the edge gets wet it will delaminate. It is great for windows and doors. Minimum thickness 1/4"
