Tempered glass is made by heating annealed glass to approximately 700 degrees Celsius then cooling the outer surfaces rapidly. This process makes the glass very strong and shock resistant thus more durable.

AJJ Glass uses this toughening technique though a horizontal tempering furnace while bending the glass to specific shapes. It is one of the few curved toughening furnaces in China and it is the few one with a tight radius capabilities, it provides a wide range of applications in architectural, commercial and residential installations. The capabilities range from cylindrical single curves, to complex non cylindrical with tight radius curves and tangents. Following is our complex non-cylindrical curved toughening specifications. What is switchable privacy glass

AJJ swtichable glass is also called privacy glass, lcd glass, smart glass, electrical glass,etc. Privacy at the flick of a switch is possible with Switchable glass. This is state of the art laminated glass with a liquid crystal interlayer between two sheets of glass, either clear or tinted. The liquid crystal film and the glass panels are assembled by means of two interlayer films ( exp EVA film).

In clear mode an electrical current is passed through the interlayer which aligns the microscopic crystals along a number of parallel axes, thus allowing vision through the glass.

When privacy is required the current is switched off and the crystals scatter into a random formation which prevents vision through the glass.

Technical parameters:
The light transmittance of switchable glass is not less than 75%, and its anti-light transmittance is not more than 10%.
The switching speed of switchable glass is less than 0.1 sec.
The visual angle of switchable glass is not less than 140°.
The current of switchable glass is not more than 8 w/m2.
Siwtchable glass should endure 120V alternating current, and breakdown does not take place during 60 hours.
The working life of switchable glass is not less than 50000 hours.
Privacy glass can work normally in -10℃ ~ +60℃ circumstance.
The working voltage of privacy glass is 75V-100V alternating current, frequency is 50 Hz, it should work normally in the circumstance of voltage fluctuation is not more than 10V.

Food display glass

FABRICATION PROCESS

Glass is shaped by placing flat glass on a convex or concave mold, then heating it until it softens, taking the shape of the mold through the action of gravity. It is then gradually cooled to prevent any internal stress, retaining the characteristics of annealed glass.

PRODUCT SELECTION

Monolithic glass:
Clear, tinted, patterned

Laminated glass:
To meet acoustical or security needs, such as ballistic or physical attack resistant glass, two (2) or more pieces of bent glass are bonded to an interlayer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB).

Insulating glass:
Energy efficient thermal glass units can be assembled using two (2) pieces of monolithic or laminated bent glass.

Bent tempered glass

Bent tempered glass is a curved-surface safety glass processed by heating ordinary glass to fit a certain arc and radius and then cooling it down suddenly to make a curved surface and greatly increase the facial intensity. Curved tempered glass can meet the need for beauty in a building's external glass.

Sand-blasted glass

Sand-blasted glass is produced by spraying sand at high velocities over the surface of the glass. This gives the glass a translucent surface, which is usually rougher than that obtained by etching. During sandblasting, only the areas that are to remain transparent are masked for protection. The depth and degree of the translucency of the sand-blasted finishing vary with the force and type of sand used.
Sand-blasted glass can be used in numerous interior design applications in both residential and commercial settings: doors, shower screens, partitions and interior screens, furniture, etc.

Customized looks can be created with inlays . Rice Papers, wire screen, paper, fabric, expanded metal & woven metallic fabrics, holographic and dichroic films can be laminated into the glass of your choice to create unique glass panels. These interlayers or your own substrate can be laminated with texture or colored glasses for an infinite number of configurations.

Acid etched glass

It is produced by acid etching one side of float glass.Or acid etch two sides. Acid-etched glass has a distinctive, uniformly smooth and satin-like appearance. Acid-etched glass admits light while providing softening and vision control. It can be used in both residential and commercial settings (doors, shower screens, furniture, wall paneling, etc.).

What is laminated glass

Laminated Glass is manufactured by permanently bonding two or more layers of clear, tinted, or reflective glass with one or more interlayers of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) sheeting. This is done in an autoclave combining heat and pressure resulting in a single, solid laminated glass product. Heat Strengthened Laminated glass is twice as strong as normal glass and tempered lam is four times stronger.

Tempered glass

Tempering, also known as heat treatment, is processing procedure that quencher after glass is heated to a certain temperature, produce a permanent stress in glass to enhance their resistance against mechanical and thermal stress. If glass is broken into pieces, it will break into fractionlet, and less hurt people.Our company possesses three level tempered furnace, and the minimum processing size of 150 × 300mm, the maximum processing size of 3000 x 9000mm, processing thickness ranging from 3~19mm. Company produce tempered glass, 3.5 million m2/per year.

Cleaning

Cleaning is to clean the finished and semi-processed products after many deep processing procedure, and its main purpose is to remove the smudginess and covers from glass surface. We currently have many washing machine ranged from the width of the 400mm to 2000mm.

Drilling

Drilling is based on customer requirements, and drill in the glass in accordance with the location, size, number, spacing and other factors. My company also uses advanced vertical drilling. Vertical drilling machine is controlled by the microcomputer, infrared positioning, contact wheel contact, thereby improve the surface quality, the accuracy of drilling, and also reduced the labor intensity.

Edge grinding

Edge grinding is a processing procedure that processes the edge according to the demands of customers. Edge grinding can be divided into plane edge, round edge and bevel edge. According to the effect, edge grinding can be also divided into kibbling, elaborate grinding and polishing. According to the different requirements of customers, the company's grinding equipments are bilateral grinding, straight Edge machine (two short side), C edge and abnormal edge.Bilateral grinding, the largest processing size is 1500mm, and the minimum size is 350mm. The product features: the processed products have high precision (+0.3mm), good right angle, with the production capacity of 1200m.Straight Edge machine can process any size between 100~3000mm, with the production capacity 800mm.

Cutting

Cutting is the first working procedure of glass deep processing. The precision of cutting directly affects the size, shape and right angle. We introduced the Swiss cutting machine for cutting. This equipment is controlled by microcomputer, and cutting precision is up to 0.3mm, and cutting range is up to 3660 x 2440. This equipment is easy to operate, with the processing capacity of around 1200m2
